Ok so my girlfriend ordered this....

It's a cold cathod, so no they don't get hot.

JUST GOT ONE OF THOSE SETUPS FROM CRAZYPC ABOUT 1 1/2 WEEKS AGO AND IT WAS A DREAM TO INSTALL IN A FRIENDS CASE I USED A GREENLEE 7/8 INCH 22 MM METAL HOLE SAW Image
LIKE THESE PICTURE TO INSTALL THE ON OFF SWITCH IN THE SIDE PANEL !
WORKED PERFECT !! :D

yeah I don't have a hole saw, I just used my dremel for the hole for the switch :)

i don't care what anyone says cold cathodes are not cold... they do get warm but no where near as hot as whata actual lightbulb would get mine get warmer than the room temp is so yeah it will add some heat to your case my case temp usually drops 4F when i don't have mine on.... also where did you find those short tubes at... i need to find a 4" UV one for my case...

yes they do get warm.... but not as warm as a neon counterpart. But the way to go is LED.

doh didn't even notice that :D and damn they are spendy can order 1 kit and a spare tube from svc for that price and those are the full length ones :eek:

yeah thay are a lil costly there, byt they are the only place I found with that size.... and she ordered hers with a friend so they split the shipping.... ( he ordered a full size UV light and it was less then her mini one )
