Anyone install the AMD Processor Driver for XP from Windows Update?

Anyone install the AMD Processor Driver for XP from Windows Update?

I just checked Windows Update and under Drivers they list a "Processor Driver" for AMD processors.

Anyone install it or have any idea WTF it's about?

i have it just lets windows know what processor so it can utilize mmx and sse from my understanding...

Well since I just Ghosted my XP partition I guess I'll install it.

i installed it. no real changes as far as i can see....

mebbe because the barton has a larger cache?
