I'd expect to spend a little more than $60 on a 450W psu unless your not too concerned if it's crap or used, or used and crap's out on you.If you plan on pushing things I'd invest in a good supply rated for more than you plan on using (even though they have some built-in overhead) and a mfg. Warranty. It's a good investment.Shop around.
I'd even try
http://www.pricegrabber.com just to see what's listed.
bill
Edit: Woops. I haven't been paying attention, I just went there and the antecs were in your range +/- a few bucks, not too bad though.
Here's a Startec

I really believe the newer kingwin and the coolmax I reviewed are made by the same manufacturer. Same basic design and that exact same manual fan control. Either of those or antec and enermax you can't go wrong. The antec truepower psu's are the best I've had. So far. But the others are no slouch at all.
The new Antec TrueControl comes out in March. And we'll have one. Looks darn interesting for overclockers.

But, I kinda doubt it'll be cheap.

getting the 4fan, aluminum one (cause hte black one doesnt match my case

)
in the pics, I can only see the one colored fan on the back, and the 2 on the bottom. Wonder if the 4th will be in front
not bad, I placed my order at KDC yesterday morning at like 3am. Got the Airborne Express tracking number in my email at about 4pm same day. Looks like it was shipped out as well. Checked hte tracking page now and says it left the Schaumburg Distribution center at about 8am today (and I live in schaumburg

) so i should be getting it today or so i hope
not bad, placing an order and gettign it the next day for only $5 shipping
looks like KDC will be getting another + + reply at resellerratings from me
and newegg got that mobo in, so i ordered it now with no delay
*sorry for the thread hi-jackking*
but I heard that the Kingwins were very good PSUs, thats why I decided to get one too. I wouldve prefered the version that was reviewed here cause it is cheaper ($65), but they are out of stock. I dont think there is much difference between the 2 though. Besides the extra fan and the LED fan, they seem almost identical. Hope you like the new PSU Knight

power supply problem Kingwin 450w 3fan

I recently purchased a Kingwin 450W 3 fan power supply, and it seems to be a bit squirrely about power off and then on again. When the system starts, it runs great, power stable. When I shutdown, (hold the power button in about 4 sec) it goes off. An attempt to restart after 1 minute or so, and the system fans will run but no bios checks. The system will eventually decide to boot after sitting for quite a long while. Again all is fine until power off again, then the cycle repeats. Another older 300 w power supply will boot the system every time. No problems. Any one have any ideas other than bad power supply?
