Setting up a Print Server

Just bought a D-Link DI 704P router for my home network (Mine & my dad's comp sharing a cable modem). It has the option to setup a print server but I can't get my computer to see the printer. My dad's comp had the printer already, so all I did for him was change to location of the printer to the router in the printer's properties. Now when I go to add a printer to my compter, it says it can't find the printer. Is there an easy way for me to setup the printer on my comp?

Both computers are under the same workgroup. The printer is connected to the router.

the router should have come with drivers to set up a DLink printer port for each of your computers to enable their print server functionality, mine did

Got it working! I had to add the printer using the local printer option. I was using the networked printer option. Why is it that nothing can ever be simple?! If the printer is attached to the router, you would think it was a networked printer!!!!
