Wow. I just installed DX9 on my win2k box and it jumped my 3dmark2001se score from 8950 to 10650. Thats 1700 points. Holy crap! specs below

ATI Radeon 9500 Pro 128mb
Athlon XP 2000+
384 PC2100
Shuttle AK32A


I was kind of amused. I didnt think a new DX would do anything cuz it usually doesnt lol.

Did you update the CATALYST drivers too? That coulda been a big reason for an increase.

Nope all that changed was DX9. Was using catalyst 3.0 the whole time.
