The Athlon 64 will come with 1MB L2 cache (like the server Opterons), real MHz is estimated at 1.8-2.4GHz for the Athlon 64s. First unofficial benchmarks of the Athlon 64 from the german C'T magazine are also quite impressive. An Athlon 64 at real 1.2GHz was around the same performance level as a P4 at 2.2GHz.The lengthy article says that AMD will introduce Athlon 64s in 2800+, 3100+ and 3400+ versions, in Q1 and the roadmaps, pictures of which you can find on page three of the article, confirms that there will be 333MHz Bartons initially at speeds of 3000+, 2800+ and 2500+.
