To create an emergency disk :
1. Insert the norton antivirus 2002 CD in the CD-ROM drive.
2. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
3. Navigate to the following folder:

D:\Support\Edisk\

NOTE: If the CD-ROM drive has a letter other than D, then substitute the appropriate drive letter.

4. Double-click the Ned_2001.exe file to start the Norton Emergency Disk program, and then click OK.
5. Label a blank floppy disk as indicated in the dialog box, and then insert it in the floppy disk drive.
6. Click Yes. The Norton Emergency Disk program copies the necessary files to the floppy disk.
7. Remove the disk when the program prompts for the next one, and repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have created all the disks. When all the disks have been created, a confirmation message appears.
8. Remove the last disk, and then click OK.
9. Write-protect all disks by moving the slide on the write-protection notch so that the notch is open.
10. To test or use the Emergency Disk set, insert Disk 1 in the floppy disk drive and restart the computer.

or if your lazy to find the file you can download it from this link here
1. Right-click on the Desktop, point to New, and click Folder. A new folder appears on the Desktop.
2. Name the folder NED.
3. Click the following link to download the Ned_2001.exe file from the Symantec FTP site
ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/tools/win95nt/

4. When the file download dialog box appears, choose to save the file to the Desktop.
5. When the download is complete, double-click the Ned_2001.exe file. The Setup dialog box appears.
6. Click Browse and then choose the NED folder you created in steps 1 and 2 (this folder will appear under Desktop in the Browse window). Click Install. The installation takes only a few seconds and there is no message displayed when it has finished.
7. Double-click the NED folder on the Desktop, The NED folder opens and shows several files.
8. Locate and double-click the Ned_2001.exe file in the NED folder to begin creating the Emergency Disk set.
9. Label a blank floppy disk as indicated in the dialog box, and then insert it in the floppy disk drive.
10. Click Yes. The Norton Emergency Disk program copies the necessary files to the floppy disk.
11. Remove the disk when the program prompts for the next one, and repeat steps 8 and 9 until you have created all the disks. When all the disks have been created, a confirmation message appears.
12. Remove the last disk, and then click OK.
13. Write-protect all of the disks by moving the slide on the write-protection notch so that the notch is open.

lol, i wish it was just as easy as mcafee, where it has on the startmenu a place where it says create an emergency disk. :D
