just installed my new nexus fan controller

Nexus Silver fan controller
Just installed it the other day....and I am impressed
easily lowers the noise from the 2 120mm fans in my case. The cables they include with it are nice and long so they will fit in a full sized tower. And the blue backlit knobs are a great touch.
My only gripe about this controller.......is the side mounts. They arent long enough and the screw holes are too far forward
I got a nice global win aluminum case, but where the screw slots start, are a little farther back. So when I mount the controller, it is recessed a little back from the front bezel and is overshot by the cd-rw/cd-rom above it
other than that, this fan controller kicks ass

I got one in too and have had nothing but troubles with it. One channel is dead, another works half way and another comes and goes. It's sent back. Be careful if you use it with your cpu fan. Some have burned out the cpu when using this controller for their cpu fan when it stopped working. Others have reported it actually catching fire and many others have had various troubles with it..
It's a great idea and looks darn cool. But it appears vantec rushed it out

well its only controlling the intake fan on #1 and the outtake fan on #2
I didnt want to put my cpu fan on it cuase I thought that one should never be adjusted
i will keep my eyes open on it, but so far its doing good

KDC has only had one returned so far so U probably jsut got a bad one blade. Ruining my name.

ehh........anandtech.......
that place wont let me register. I used my aol email and my pcabusers.net email but wont let me register
I have read that thread......looks like everyone had some bad luck with it except 2 people.
I have not tried any other ports besides 1 and 2. But on port 1 i have a 120mm sunon fan. Same on port 2.
Those are the only 2 fans i need in my system (well besides the dual 60x10mm on my heatsink, but that will NEVER be connected to a fanbus)
I havent noticed any buzzing or clicking, and no wierd smells
I wonder if they are also different shipments between the silver faced ones and the black ones, cause I got a silver one
Also got it from KDC
so no probs thusfar. Ran it for about one hour. Kept turning the knobs. No probs
