cleaning a intellimouse

what is the best way to clean and stop a thumb ball from sticking ?

i been using endust wipes to clean the contact rollers and the thumb ball !
today after i cleaned the thumb ball and applyed a coating of armor all ~

if i did wrong let me know ~
and if you have other idea let me hear them to .
but seems to work great now !

Never clean the ball with anything moist - it'll leave a residue.

I clean the rollers with a q-tip dipped in alcohol. Use your fingernail if the lint is really on the rollers tight. Get all the link off the rollers and blow it out of the mouse case.

As for the ball, lay down a strip of scotch tape on your desk (sticky side up) and roll the ball around on it a bit to allow the sticky tape to pickup all the lint off the ball.

Or just toss the ball mouse in the trash and get an optical and never worry about it again.

Heck, I just noticed you said "THUMB BALL" - I had assumed this was an old fashioned ball mouse. Ignore my diatribe....
