how to make a bootable cd

i have a blanks and nero
will nero take files from my computer
or do i have to copy them from my boot disk

The newer versions of nero have a utility to create a boot disk. never tried it though.

You need to create a floppy boot disk. to create a bootable cdrom.

i tryed to burn that on to the cd and it failed

I've always used Easy CD Creator to make a bootable CD. Look here ->
