hey all. i think im back after battling chitty bummed hardware, lol. I was wondering what u would reccommend for a Good Mobo.

It MUST be able to support pc2100 ECC ram. and if all goes well, i'll be getting a 1600xp with this upgrade, so overclockibility would be a plus. Also, i don't really want onboard sound or video if at all possible. I've checked Asus, which is what i usually use, and they don't seem to have much that supports the ECC. Not very familiar with Epox, MSI, etc etc...

TIA

why do u want ecc if your gonna overclock it? ECC is for stability. And honestly it is not for the end user simply because home users do nto have the load of a server, and the average pc users machine is not on nonstop for months or more at a time. So basically, go with standard ddr ram and save urself the money.

well basically...

when i OC i usually just up the voltage and multiplier. i seem to have had some bad experiences with my IBM 69gxp's and bus speeds, heh. and not sure on this, on boards that support it, can't u turn it off ne wayz? i was thinkin in the bios u could turn off the ECC feature, but mebbe im wrong.
