PreDatoR,
I read your review about the Volcano 9 HSF, nice job! I just bought this hsf as my wonderful AlphaPal 8045 would not fit my new mobo (no holes in mobo).

Here's my question:

You talked a lot about the quality of the fan. I'm a bit of a modder and wanted to use one of my pretty
:D blue LED fans, I have one regular and one adjustable. On top of it I wanted to put my even cooler, custom mirror grill :D (very thin cutout so air will circulate well). I also have a thermal probe on the front of the case that I use for cpu temp.

Will the thermaltake fan be that much more reliable than my fans?

I love to mod the box but don't want to ruin the system. Whadda ya think?

That adjustable one should work just fine it moves 52cfm of air... The V9 fan moves a max of 75 though. I've got it up top of a SLK800 right now and its doing damn good. You might run a few degree's higher with the other fan but it won't be much. the V9 personally i wouldn't use it. The heatsink isn't the worlds greatest. Its not bad but its got a serious ghetto design to it. In order to make it cool effectively it needs that fan cranked to the max. If your running default it will do fine. I'm talking for heavy overclocking.
