I use a 2.0 burner

24x10x40

The main reason I use a usb2.0 one is my case is a Lian Li PC30 with only 2 5.25 bays. One bay for my PC Gieger and one bay for the Lian Li front ports. Both are non negotiables in my case...I just can't get along without either one :)

Not to mention it's fun when people look at my case and dont see any optical drives :D

This burner is a tank....about a year old and I've burned probably close to 500 discs and it's still chugging. Not to mention I can use it on any system with usb (highly convenient) albeit only as a 4x on usb1.1

hi dude !!!

i'm using the usb 2.0 port for running my ads turbo usb 2.0 web cam from ADS tech .It Runs pretty well and fast the only problem with usb 2.0 it's that sometimes win xp was crazy about the drives but with the sp1 upgrade everything was ok .

Just purchased a new camera.
Sony DSC-F717 it is a 5.0 Mega Pixel camera.
It has USB 2.0

Currently I do not have 2.0 on my computer but I plan on upgrading to 2.0 for this reason.
It sure would make transfers easier.

I got one of these to play around with. I want to transfer old home movies to DVD. It is way way better than the capture from my GF4. It has a hardware MPEG encoder chip in it.

I've been experimenting with regular 1.1 and 2.0 usb and the only thing I ever can tell any speed difference is when I upload pictures from my digital camera. I use a seperate usb reader for that and with usb 2.0 it is maybe half a second per pic quicker. Using just the included usb cord to upload on 2.0, the speed is the same as on usb 1.1.

Only thing else I've tried is a logitech mouse and a fan, with either on usb 2.0 or 1.1 I can't tell any difference. But with proper usb 2.0 compatable devices like a hard drive I do believe there will be a noticable difference, from what I've seen.
