I've been getting the following:

Windows - Delayed Write Failure

WTF???? Basically I get bombarded with this every <10sec til I can't use Windows at all (XP btw).
I've deleted the rebuilt the RAID on the 2 Seagate HDDs and reformatted... not sure how it's going to go..

has anyone gotten this before?

Generally not a good sign. Usually means a drive is going or a controller problem.

Check your IDE cables. Unplug them and plug them back in - sometimes they get corroded and doing that will scrape them clean.

You said you're using a RAID array? Make sure you have the latest drivers and BIOS for the controller. I know with Promise controllers the driver version needs to match the BIOS version.

EDIT
-------

Did a quick Google search and found a few references that indicate it MIGHT be related to a software issue:

I'd recommend checking the newsgroups on Google as well.

However I'd still be concerned it's a hardware issue. You get this kind of error when a drive is going.

i've been reading up on that all night (thank god i kept my amd box)..
i dunno... the problems just crept up on me.. i didn't update my drivers or bios for the controller as of late..
i did in fact installed a couple of patches and then about a day or 2 later, this cropped up...

i'm hoping for the best though... i destroyed the RAID.. hopefully, this problem goes away when i get home and try the newly formatted partition out ... it'd be a shame to lose a 120GB RAID :(

Well, I've seen that error twice. One was serious and one was end user stupidity. The first one was because my SCSI drive was actually dieing the second time was because I plugged the SCSI cable in wrong! )*

hmmm rebuilding the array may have fixed it... seems to work so far.. but only time will tell... it may get that way again once i restore all my files back to the array... <keeping my fingers crossed>
