Im considering buying the "Baybus 6 Port Fan Controller". however, my question is: when ive heard of people using it, they only talk about wireing case fans to it. I was wondering if i could wire my cpu fan (thermaltake dragon orb 3) to it as well without complications? Thanks.

You can wire any fan to it without complications. Only thing you may want to watch out for with a CPU fan is overheating your processor if the fan is running to slow.

i would recommend against wiring your cpu fan into the baybus (or any other exterior control device). there was a similar thread a while ago about this and someone (FP maybe?) posted the excellent point that you are taking a risk by adding more variables that may cause failure in your system. if the wiring goes bad or the temp management isn't just right to control the fan speed...then you could toast your cpu, and that's not worth a few dB less in noise.

I'd feel REAL uncomfortable if the CPU fan was connected to anything but a power connector directly. You can lose all the case fans and as long as the fan on the CPU is running it'll still get hot, but at least you're not likely to fry the CPU.
