What Moniter to Buy? Quick response appreciated.
Here's the deal, I have to give my dad a birthday list by tomorrow morning. I'm going to ask for a 19" moniter but I'm not sure which one to ask for. I've seen the 19" Ultrascan P991 for under $150 (1600x1400 max res, .24 dpi) and the P990 (.25 dpi) for under 100. A good bang for your buck would be nice, but I don't want to shortchange my dad (or myself). Now, these sound pretty cheap for 19" moniters and I'm wondering if there's something that I'm overlooking as far as their quality is conserned. I've seen the P991 and it looked fine to me, but maybe there's something that doens't meet the eye. Perhaps if some of you could look up the stats on the stated moniters and give me your opinioin, or recomend a good 19" moniter for $150-250. If this is too low of a price to get a desent 19" than tell me...thanks in advance.

another vote for the 910eOriginally posted by PreDatoR
Staples has a 19" Envision E910e for about 150 bucks with a coupon code online. I bought one and its a sweet monitor. Isn't a flat screen but there isn't much curve to it. .25dpi does 1600x1200@75Hz I run mine at 1280x960@100Hz and it looks very good.
better color than my viewsonic and good specs

i have a 19 nec accusynch 90 which i would only give about a b-, mostly because it was fairly cheap. I have two of the 17' envisions at home and like them both - i wouldn't touch viewsonic with a burrito - we have had a huge failure rate with those at work - about 50% in the first two years and they don't pay return shipping

Do you think I have enough $$$ to get an 18" LCD? hah! ....just a littke joke for the kiddies....
Even if I did sell mine for about $350-400 (dunno if it's even worth that anymore?) I'd still need another $500-$600 me thinks. Although LCD would be badass..... hmmm
