After scratching and clawing my way through various manufacturers, Seagate finally came through and is the first to actually get us a next-generation ATA drive. Just the 2-meg P-ATA rather than the 8-meg S-ATA that many readers are drooling over... but it is production-class and the same thing readers should be able to purchase any day now if not already. We still remember the fierce debate between readers when we published early results that had to be revised those from later units.
From Storage Review
Nothing really definite but a couple model numbers
Personally I'd wait to see their take on it before considering buying one
