if it happens every time after 5 minutes it might be heat - i had a problem on my system whenever i ran F@H and gamed at the same time, it would shut down - finally put a blorb on the mainboard chipset and that cleared it up - an my ak31 i have auto shutdown enabled in the bios at 60 C -

post your mobo, etc., and what you're doing when it shuts down -

i have an ecs k75a mobo and i know its not heat because even if it was getting real hot it will still start up after like 2 minutes of cooling at any given time my pc likes to die and i can't turn it on at will and its reall sketchy i know the switch for power is fine but is it my bios battery that just is shot and when it recahargees oit will start and when it dies the pc shuts off till it charges up again. i don't fuxin know but its definetly not a dhort in m oponion

2 minutes is plenty of time to cool down ...if the bios battery were gone, on most boards it would only mean that you couldn't save changes to the bios - the original bios settings are on an eprom or whatever, and are hardwriten

still would be helpful to see all the system specs - cpu voltage ps, etc. there are other power related issues that can arise - have you tried it with a different power source? a funky ps can create all kinds of problems

well i think you might be right i guess... but the symptons are regular i guess because it only starts when it wants to and shuts down when it wants to and sh!t isn't overheating and my bios battery is set but i will figure it out eventuallly. as long as my board doesn't gfet fired i'm happy i'll keeep you updated.

Heat --- mabey the processor, mabey the powersupply. My brother had the problem of the powersupply getting too hot after about 10 min cuz he bought some shitty generic one instead of putting an Antec one in for 10$ more... Idiot .. but anyway, is the powersupply getting to hot ??
