Dang blasted SB Live value card, no rear channels (fixed)

For some reason my older SB Live Value card's lost its rear 2 speaker channels and it's definately the card, no output from the black speaker output with ANY program. I can plug the rear speaker plug into the front (green) card output jack and the rear speakers work.
Drivers look OK in Device manager (Win2K), all SB live settings are set to 4 speakers too. Any ideas besides either another card or a 1/8" miniplug Y jack for both front and back (maybe cheapest solution).
All 4 speakers use to work fine with my present setup unless something's screwed up from recently adding the latest Windows Media player which might oddly be to blame (not sure if that's when I first noticed this or not as it's been this way for a while now)? Could media player have settings (so far unseen) that could mess up my sound cards rear speaker output, like a 2 speaker switch somewhere that's over-riding SB lives settings?
Update: fixed by switching PCI slots (this time
