To be rid of all the VIA shit on all of my systems... I tell ya what Via can have all the performance bragging rights they want. I'll take 5% less performance for a more stable system anyday. Just replaced my 8K3A+ and went back to a XP333R. Overall it seems faster but benchmarks tell you different. But i don't care about those its stable its fast and via can kiss my ass!!!
Glad you are happy Pred, but I dont get why people knock VIA so much. I have two systems with VIA chipsets and have no problems at all. Now I know two systems does not mean that much but no chipset is perfect and it seems to me most of VIA"s issues have been addressed. Just my two cents.
Ya the most stable system in my house is the Abit BH6 and Celeron 366@550 too bad Via can't use that as an example .... Dad my Iwill KK266 kt133a via board was a solid board. But i haven't found one that will even come close to being as stable. Via is too picky with certain hardware combo's... I just got tired of fighting with it. While the Ali Magik chipset might not be the fastest. It is the 2nd most stable right behind AMD's 760.
