I just got a GREAT deal on MS optical mice, 3 of them! I kinda stole these legally, should I feel guilty?
Naw, I'm happy!!! Alittle sanding and I should be able to get the Microsoft removed :)

Here's the way it went.

Went to the store (big chain!) and they had Microsoft optical mice for about $20, minus a $10 rebate, would be $10 then right. Well the wife went up to pay for the one mouse I wanted while I was still looking around the store. Turns out the rebate expired the day before but they hadn't corrected the shelf price. So they gave her the rebate in the store since it was expired. Out the door price was $10 on the optical mouse! Went over to another BIG Chain store.

Second chain had this exact same optical mouse for $30!!! Now keep in mind this is a mouse we can buy for about $18 from TCWO or Newegg ect...

Store brand cd's were painted up with advertising that will show through any label, and cost $25 for a 50 spindle, but with rebate of $25 they will be free later so I bought them anyway.

Now while paying for the cd's I casually ask if they do price matching because I just bought the mouse across the street and wanted another one. Had to get the manager, but they did, so I got the reciept and showed them I only paid $10 for that mouse they were charging $30 for.

They said ok, they had to match it then, so I got 2 more optical mice expecting them to be $10 each. To my surprise they were only $8 each! Price match is extra 10% of the differnce off the price. So I got 10% of the $20 extra discount! Another $2 savings each. So I walk out the door with two mice for $16 plus tax, $60 at their normal price! About $36 plus shipping my normall price! What a deal right.

Well did one better, my wife also had bought a mouse pad at the first store, it was marked down to $1,
nice fancy pad but they only had one! This second store had the same exact pad for $3 or $4, so with price matching and extra 10% off she got the second one for 43 cents!

I am sure they would like to lose me as a custermor, what cha think?

Now if that were a little mom and pop type store I wouldn't have done that. But this being a BIG National CHAIN store, selling an $18 mouse for $30, well I don't give it a second thought except to smile alot!!

They ripp the locals for the extra $12 bloated price, I got them with their own policy for $22 savings each off the bloated price, or $10 less each than anywhere else I can buy them currently.

To bad they weren't cordless optical!

Cool gas, Great deal!

$1.43? Not bad for NY I geuss, about $1.30 here, some cheapy cheapy places are $1.23 but I don't run well on it after about 3 tanks and have to run carb/injector cleaner or a tank of premium from the name brand high priced stations.

It's cool when we get a break once in awhile like that, I figure they ripp us the rest of the time!
Like on the mice deal, that second store where I got the lowest price was trying to rip people for $10 more at normal retail price than the store across the street on the exact same item!

Like Phillips 66, I have not bought thier gas since 9/11! On that day for no reason they gouged us .55 a gallon here, Conoco went up .25, and the full serve station where I buy mine never budged a penny! Normally they all 3 have the same price.

Owner of the full serve said, "I paid one price for the gas in the tank, and untill I have to buy more I ain't raising it, then If I have to pay more for the next load I'll raise then!"

I liked that, so the greed of 66 and Conoco on that one day lost them both all my business ever since. Even when the full serve station is a nickel higher (rarely, but happens) I still go there. Never got 66 gas since, and the only time I get Conoco is when I need gas late at night and the full serve is closed.

I used to get gas at any of them, just which ever was least busy at the time up untill then.

Not really a matter of price, but principals!
Heck I was going to pop $76 anyway and try a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, but now I got extra mice with tails instead :)

Well... maybe this doesn't count... I'm not sure....

but I recently gave a $300. genuine .85 carat natural amethyst ring to an employee
as sort of a " year - end bonus".

ummmm... I only paid $18.00 for it on an auction.

I'm starting to actually enjoy being cheap.

Yes being cheap does have it's rewards :)

I am about to start a small newspaper before long. Would have done it sooner, but don't want to be tied down on a permanant basis. Wanted to do a weekly, but might settle for bi-monthly.

Cost of having the paper printed is not that bad. All the freebies I can get are great! Also a little advertising sales will get it paid for and maybe a profit.

While doing some reviews for another paper, I got free tickets for 4 everywhere I wanted to go just about. Figure a theme park is $35 per ticket x 4 and I saved $140 for one day! For me it was all free for the asking, just have to know how and who to ask! I did have to pay $10 for parking though :)
Took my daughter park hopping last year, I am burned out on roller coasters still!!

I did reviews on music shows in Branson Mo. I'm too cheap to pay $35 a ticket for most the shows myself! I spent a whole week there getting 4 tickets a night, 7 days, FREE. Over $1,000 in freebies just that one week! My daughter loved that too! Course I spent a ton also, $25 a night for a hotel, and restaraunt food!

Next time I'll have to think ahead better and get reservations to review the local food and hotels :)
Wonder if I could do a review on gasoline? like which station is easiest access, best price, cleanest pumps, How well my car and van runs on it ect... Free gas would be nice!

Lots of fun and cheap free deals are out there for those that look. Most people are to busy trying to make money, and don't find ways to save money! Then they have no time to do anything but pay bills anyway.
One of my main reasons I don't do TV! Don't want the bill, here in the sticks I'd have to have a dish at about $40 a month! If I am watching that, I ain't having fun going places or making any money to pay the bill!
Put it another way, $40 buys the gas to go to Branson for the weekend! I'd rather do that!

You totally cracked me up with the story about newspaper reviews!!

wayyyyyy funnnyyy....

I was talking to a friend about hiring his personal trainer... and joked about paying
him in diamonds (which of course I would buy wholesale). My friend said...
"Hé'd probably DO that!!! He's already interested in buying jewelry from you!!"

If I can use stupid little rocks for currency... life has just gotten very silly !!!

Well that was pretty much all true, except maybe thinking about the gas station reviews :)

What part of MO. Is the coastel side? Your Location: Missouri (coastal side)?

I am Missouri (Land of Ticks and rocks) Myself! Though I think the spiders are eating them!

Got tons of spiders this year, but haven't found as many ticks as normal!

I'm up around K.C.

Life here is very weird.

If you wanna know how messed up it is... read "parting out girlfriend" under
"buy, sell, and trade"

Cities just make people crazy.

So what part of the state are you in??

South Central, MOwhere! It's nice and quite here, pretty and all that good stuff, but BORING lately and I'm not normally bored! Boredom is the sign of a weak mind, and I noticed I don't type or spell as well lately as I use to either :(

Huhh what was i saying??

Not even good resaraunts! Had one here 15 miles away and 2 about 35 miles away I liked, but I ate there so much it's like eating at home but a little louder! Like I said, nowhere!

I am almost (not quite) ready to get a TV dish, see my other posts and you'll know what I mean!
I don't have alot of intrest in tv!

I used to have animals, but got rid of them when I started traveling again. Was a pain wanting to go away for a week or two and no-one to feed the goats and pigs. So now I don't have them to play with, and get a bit bored when I'm home for long periods of time! Geuss it's not really all boredom, alot is just not having the animals around. Kinda miss them, they were fun! I had a bore hog I raised from a piglet, was about 3 yrs old and close to 300 pound I would think, maybe more! Could pet him like a dog and when he'd get out of the pen he'd just follow me around like one too.

Still have the deer to watch out the window, that's nice and no joke! Can sit here with the computer all night and in the morning watch the deer eating in the yard/woods 10 feet from the window :)

well time to check the mail again,
