I'm on dialup, email works fines but I can not load any page from any site in IE6 or netscape. Opera works but it's slow and I dont really like the way PCA looks with it. i havent messed with any settings. Fired up the PC this morning and no web pages would load, except with opera.

Any ideas?

Are you normally using some sort of proxy ?
You can check the browser preferences if they have a proxy entry.
IE = Internet Properties / Connections / Settings
NS = Edit / Preferences / Advanced / Proxies (well, that's where Mozilla has the settings)

I had a strange problem that may be similar...... I, as you, are stuck on dial up. E-mail worked but was real slow and IE coundn't find a single page. The problem/ problems turned out to be my phone line is not so hot anymore. I had to slow my modem down to 33.6 and now I can stream data fine. IE and mail work great. I'm still not sure where the line is crappy so I'm going to replace all my internal lines and hope for the best.

Thanks Doc, that did the trick. Strange though, I don't use a proxy but the proxy box was checked. As far I know I didn't change it. Must be Gremlins.

Gand1, I do lucky to connect at 28.8 so slowing it down would be like pi=ulling the plug. :(

Thanks for the help, as always it's much apprecitated. :) :)
