Looking for some good Monitors (17"^) AND Sound Card...Suggestions!

OK, first off. I am trying to find a second monitor for my dual setup. The current 8 year old 15 inch i am using seems to be really dying under the stress I am putting it through. I am pushing 70-75 HZ into it, when its made for 60. :P I hear continuous clicking, and the screen continually flickers. Obviously signs that tell me the Monitor is really being stressed. So, I am off to find another one. I am just looking for suggestions. I would prefer a new primary 19" Monitor. (not exactly NEW, but newer). That way I can make this one my secondary, and maybe get a new onew (err, newer) with some cool features like a USB hub, or something.

Also, I am searching for a new video card. The onbaord sound seems to giving off a high pitch whine when I really turn the volume up. luckily, these z560's sound OK with the onboard 4 channel sound. but, not good enough. I really want to do some crankin with these, it's time to show off and break a few pictures. :D (The speakers already kick ass!) I found an Accustic Edge on Ebay for a sweet price, which, according to your PCA review, sounds pretttty nice. i don't really want to go with a SoundBlaster because of their infamous IRQ problems.. I am also looking at a Santa Cruz card, as I know they are pretty nice cards. Or, am I wrong?

So, let me know what you think!

Thanks.

I could get a 21" Dell trinitron (don't know how old :-\) off ebay for $170 shipped. (the guy will let me pick it up). The highest supported resolution is 1600x1200, at 85hz. But, with the .25mm dot pitch would that resolution be very clear? Besides, the damn thing is 20" high, 20" wide, and 18" deep.. big.. LOL. Should I jump on it, or try to find a nice .24mm dit pitch 19"?

What do you mean by special monitor? i just noticed the cord looks alone here:

Ahh, nevermind, just read into, the cord is just detachable. :D

Most cords on higher quality monitors are detachable ;) They do this because the cords get tuged on a lot and the manufacters would get a ton back in where they would have to replace the cords, often in older monitors where they would be deep inside the case which would require a lot of work to get in there... ...plus its dangerous. Now-a-days they make 'em detachable so if the cord gets yanked out all they gotta do is replace the cord or connector on the monitor.

From the pic above, that monitor looks pretty nice.
