I want to add another task bar on my desktop that I could put all my game icons on...is there such a program (a free one) that would allow you to do this? I'd only want it to come down when you click it, any one ever heard of anything like this?

try this:

- create a folder, and stick shortcuts to all of your games in it.
- right-click on the taskbar, and select Toolbars > New Toolbar
- in the box that pops up, select the folder containing your shortcuts.
- your new toolbar will be in the taskbar somewhere, you can drag it out of there onto the desktop.
- if you want a "second taskbar", drag your toolbar to an edge of the screen. Once it's there, right click on the toolbar and select "Auto-hide".

wow....youd think I would have noticed that sometime in the last 5 years....lol

Yep, sometimes it's the simple little tricks that we rarely think about that can stump us but another good place for info that we all probably rarely think about looking at is the ol' Help program found in the start menu.
As for game icons, I just create a "games" folder on the desktop and drag or create game icons into it.

I already had a folder but dual 19"ers at 1600 make for a lot of real estate...that toolbar kills half my 2nd monitor but its worth it for easy access/deciding what I wanna play
