What would cause Ghost 6.0 to reboot?

I'm helping my friend ghost about 27gb from his old 40gb to his new 120gb.
we created 30/30/60 partitions on the 120.
everytime we get to about 38% of the disk-to-disk ghost, his computer reboots.
we did scandisk on both the source and destination partitions and found no errors. His source partition has been running windows2K fine with no errors.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

A self reboot can be caused by either an IRQ conflict, a PCI IRQ channel sharing problem, or bad power supply. Does he have reboot problems on this system in Windows?
Did you enable some new hardware for this new drive (like an ATA or SCSI controller)? You may have an IRQ conflict. If it's using a seperate controller card, try moving it to another slot.
If it's using an on-board controller you can try moving the 2nd drive to a different EIDE ribbon.
Unless the copy of Ghost you have is corrupt, there's no reason the software would do that.
If his power supply is border line, it could be the addition of the 2nd drive drive is taxing the power supply beyond it's rating.
Try disconnecting the power on all devices you don't need and pulling all the cards except the vid card and hard drive controller (IMPORTANT: MAKE A NOTE OF WHAT SLOT EACH CARD WAS IN SO YOU CAN PUT THEM BACK IN THE SAME SLOTS!!! Otherwise you'll cause PCI IRQ channel sharing problems). That may at least allow you to complete the image.
Hope this helps...

Thanks FP.
he has been using a Maxtor ata100 PCI card with his current 40GB and added the 120GB on to the same ribbon cable as a slave. we'll move it onto its own cable tonight.
He hasnt experienced any random self reboots to date. His case is using a generic 250W PS. the new drive is a 7200, and he's pretty much maxed out drives and slots, so we'll definitely try lessening the strain as well.
