What does everyone think about overclocking a GeForce2 Ti500 ? Good idea or Bad ? I have seen a GeForce3 Ti200 be overclocked to a Ti500 and it does fine. Well let me know.

It's easy to do, and free performance

Problem is, it's trial and error to find your particular card's limits. Basically all you do is bump up the frequencies bit by bit until you start getting visual glitches (missing/flickering textures. trails, etc), and back off from there.

You just should realize that you won't get as high of an overclock from a Ti500 as from most Ti200's since the Ti200's are often using the same hardware (core/RAM) as the Ti500's, just clocked at lower default clock.
Good luck on o/c'ing

I got a Ti 200 and it is a mofo to o\clock. In my other experiances with other cards you do get visual glitches. With my ti 200 i don't get any at all. Basically i have been testing thre clock and mem settings. at the mo i find my ti works best at 215/515. can go higher but don't get visual glitches.....so when testing at say 225/525 perfect picture in 3dmark 2kse then half way through the bench mark my screen goes brown, in sliding movements and in different colour shades. so don't know why , never happened on any vid card i had before.
