Alright, I got a bunch of questions for you. I got my computer ALL taken apart. I just wanted to show a picture of my processor:



Will that be easy to clean? Just some rubbing alcohol right? And a lent free cloth? I can just scrub everything, and not worry about the traces being destroyed by the alcohol? Same for my heatsink too?




Also. My motherboard has a heatsink that is pasted to my northbridge, because there are no pins to use. Too bad for me. But, I do have a Blue Orb hybrid that has an adhesive pad on the bottom. Should I just use the pad? Or, should I use Arctic Silver 2 Adhesive or something? I might just leave it the way it is now because I am using a sleeve bearing fan from radio shack on the heatsink that is already there. The fan died, so i had to replace it.

Anyone know how to get rid of these stupid bumps? I am going to try melting them and smashing them in. I don't know what to do. They are in the way! I am trying to fit 92mm fans back there (yes, they'll fit) but those stupid bumps are in the way!

Yep. Just try not to smear the silver crap into the bridges.

Were I you, I would use the AS epoxy as it does work very well. Though I wouldn't use a blue orb on the chipset, they're not all that effective. The base of the orb doesn't have really good contact with the fins.

Why not just use 80mm fans and the holders for them? i've got 4 80mm 28db Sunon's and believe me they move plenty of air throug the case and aren't all that noisey.

I agree with Predator on using the 80mm but I know Sean has been wanting to mod his Antec for a long time and dont think he will be happy till he does.

Sean cant you use the Dremel tool to cut those bumps off?

If it can't be done with a Dremel, it's not worth doing

Yeah. Dad's totally right. I am replacing the 80mm fans with 92mm ones to quiet down my computer.

I think I'll figure something out. Because my screws may have to go in where the bumps are. I'll see what I can do.
