Easy way to indentify ram type for older IBM desktop?
.....short of going though IBMs site that is. It's an older type PC (PL-300) but from what I've seen before there were several variations. Whatever type it is, it's unlike the ram in my other PCs and I'd like more of it (only 64mb now).

Go to crucial.com and look up the memory in their database. They have a VERY complete database - you should be able to look up the computer model and it'll tell you exactly what ram works in it. Even tells you how many free slots you should have and the max memory it'll take.
