Removing IE6 in WinXP Pro
Is there a way to do that? My Dad's computer randomly restarts whenever we use IE6. More specifically, we only notice it when using Hotmail. I thought maybe removing EI6 and reinstalling might help. Any advice?

There is NO way to remove IE6 in WinXP as far as I know - it's part of the OS.
Random restarts are usually caused by an IRQ conflict - I doubt it has anything specifically to do with IE6.
Another possible culprit is a PCI IRQ channel problem (not the same as an IRQ conflict). It's common with PCI NICs so if you're using broadband, that might be the culprit.

If you are using XP well other than browsing the web, it is probably an IRQ or something hardware related, as FP said (is he ever wrong).
explorer itself is pretty much IE, so it should be running nearly all the time. For example, double click my computer, then type in the hotmail address. If that still crashes your box, it is almost definitely a hardware issue.
Can you use other browsers? Ping? Traceroute?
Maybe you have corrupt cookies? Try deleting all of the cookies and going back to hotmail...
