Can PC-100 ram works with AMD Thunderbird or do i need to upgrade to PC-133?
Or if it does work, am I going to take a performance hit?

Thanks,

pc100 will work fine on the older 100 mhz fsb tbirds - you might run into problems if -

you have a multiplier locked tbird set for say 10x133 - then the most you could get would be 10x100 -although 1.33s are unlocked

unless it's really good pc100 , such as micron -8e, you'll be limited in what kind of fsb overclock you can do as well.

Just tell us the CPU/mobo combo the memory is for.

certain motherboards... mainly VIA based boards allow you to run the memory at 100MHz while you tweak the processor...
