I have a nonconductive (cardboard-like) shim and it only cane with 1 additional hole cut for the bridges. But the xp1600 has bridges all around it, and I just left the hole for the side with the most bridges. Am I going to ruin the chip?
Can the shim crush the brigdes?

Thanks in advance!

The shim won't crush the bridges and it won't short them ... but it also won't lay flat on the CPU and "might" lift the HSF up a lil ... so yer better go right into BIOS after bootup and check your temps ...
