win98 partitioning? / Win2k Recovery??

heh, 2 questions in one.

first, is there ne gd way to make bigger then 2gig partitions in win98? have an 8gig HD and would like to make the whole thing one big partition under 98. i've heard this done b4, is it hard? and how would i do it?

secondly, i accidentally fdisked my win2k installation. i have heard about some kinda software that will allow u to bring it bak. has ne one heard of this? help??

Use Partition Magic. It'll resize your partition. WARNING: It usually goes smoothly, but you should backup your data first.

Another option is you can use Norton Ghost if you already have a copy of that. Use Ghost to copy the partition to an image file on another drive or to CD. Then fdisk the drive as one partition. Then use Ghost to restore the partition from the image file and when it prompts you, make sure to specify the size you want to make the new partition.

Power Quest Lost and Found can recover an Fdisked or formatted partition.
