Some ideas:

- After you installed the Service Pack, in the process of installing drivers or changing network settings, did Windows ask for the NT Installation CD? If so, you MUST re-install the service pack. This is a problem in NT they fixed in 2K and XP. Anytime you're asked to insert the NT CD, Windows is installing old non-updated system files from it. You must ALWAYS then re-install the Service pack afterwards to update the newly installed system files.

- Is this a seperate ATA66 controller (do you have seperate EIDE ports)? If so, you should connect the CD to the EIDE ports NOT the ATA66 controller. Many ATA66 controllers don't support CDs, or are fussy about how they are connected.

- Is the CD sharing a ribbon with a hard drive? If so, move it to a ribbon by itself.

- Always make the CD a slave. Some controllers don't like to see a CD as a master, even if it's the only device on a port.

Hope this helps...
