did you guys check out when you press right click on shortcut on winxp

if you do click the compatibility tab and you can run the software/program/game work under different operating system like win95/98/ny/win2k

I've never seen that before until I saw this post. It actually doesn't exactly run a program in another OS per-se but uses another OSs settings instead if you read the info about it found via search/help listing on that topic which is how I found it.
My XP Pro PC (an older PC) which previously ran Win2K Pro hasn't liked one older game, GLQuake1 (and all related Q1 games). It still won't start THAT game even when I try setting compatibility to Win98/ME, get an error which needs further diagnostics (more wasted time) which I'm in no rush to do now on THAT box. I believe it's driver related. Maybe later......................
