Bios flashing ?

I have a comp that the mobo came out of an HP. The mobo is an Asus P2L97A , will the latest bios from Asus work ?

In my experience I've rarely found HP to use a stock motherboard so I'd be very suprised. If you're certain it's a stock Asus mobo then it should work, but it's possible some proprietary HP features might not function.
