wha is better a pentium 3 or pentium 2
looking at both processors slot type what is better 600 mhz 256k cache or 450 mhz 512k cache which one is better. i was thinking in speed the 600 but the cache is way more on the pentium 2
cache is also OFF chip on the p2. so much slower. then the p3 has sse and is constructed better. thus a better chip overall.

P3 is much better CPU hands down - even if they were both the same speed. Add to that the bonus that the P3-600 is wickedly overclockable if you have a good mobo.
I have a P3-550 that does 733 with no problem using the stock retail heatsink.
