Welp fella's I'm stumped on some problems some friends are having. My friend just bought a new west digital 30 gig hard drive. Fdisked, formatted blah blah blah but I can't get the video drivers to work. It's a nvidia tnt STB Velocity 4400 I've tried ALLL the drivers available and even reseated the card. Any ideas??

Also I built a machine for a friend a while back and he says that now it locks up pretty regularly. Locks up hard, nothing will work and when you move the mouse you get the clicking sounds.
Specs:
Asus cusl2
256 mushkin
intel 933mhz PIII
plextor
enlight case
ibm 75gxp
sblive
intel nic
diamond modem

Do you think it could be the cheapo psupply??

Thanks SOOO MUCH for your help I'll need it.

You might try that card with the xp os, it has many video drivers built-in. Otherwise reseat again, ecpecially if it was working before the fdisk.

The other problem could be one of many different things. Check device manager for any conflicts but my guess would be it's a driver conflict. I have many computer noobies do this when they install an app or game several times and/or delete something they shouldn't have. Also, is he doing anything in particular when the lockups happen?
