Voodoo 3 3000 TV OUT WONT WORK Any More...

Post by WeekendWarrior »

I tried this in video card forums but none seems to go there.
My tv out on the Voodoo 3 3000 agp card wont work anymore...
I didnt use it for a long time then tried it the other day and the picture is all bright white and fuzzy on tv. It flickers like crazy and gets all garbled.
Only change I can think of is I installed direct x 8.1.
Or did I fry the tv out maybe ? when I plugged it in again.
any ideas?
It used to work fine in win me and on this machine...
anyone know whats the best drivers or is there a patch for the tv out I can try?
I tried reinstalling a ghost image I had before dx 8 it is 7.1
same thing..
I tried 3rd party voodoo 3 drivers...same thing different refresh rates...same
as soon as I enable tv out the tv flickers like crazy if there is any motion on the screen like a movie etc....
but while just viewing desktop its ok.
is there any setting for interlaced video somewhere?
I wonder if its an interlaced signal problem or if the tv out is actually fried...
thanks for any info

I've never used the tv out on one much so I'm not a big help, but one thing I'd try is a different cable. They do go bad and sometimes static gets in them and causes havoc.
