In about 1 month I am getting a new monitor, but, I don't know which one. Anyone know of a good monitor no more $650, 19" that isn't shadow mask, I want aperture-grill. That is what I hope to get, thats why I am looking now. Thanks in advance.

I have a 17" Viewsonic A75f... it's a pretty nice monitor, image quality is damn good (especially with a G400

). It uses the Mitsubishi Diamondtron tube, basically a flat (near-flat?) aperture-grille CRT. I know they have a 19" model or two that might be worth checking out.
IIRC the only manufacturers of aperture-grille tubes are Sony (Trinitron) and Mitsubishi (Diamondtron). Any flat/AG monitor you find will have one of these tubes.

ViewSonic PF790! 19 inches of sweet flat luvin. That doesn't sound right does it? Anyway I bought this about 8 months and love it. Perfectly flat screen and crisp , sharp picture. Lowest price on price watch is around $321 or so. It has an aperture grille pitch of 0.25mm at center and 0.27mm at corners.
Hope this helps.

NEC FP950 19" is what I got. Great color, crisp text, nice on-screen controls. Never had a problem with it. It also has BNC connecters on the back and I hear it gives an overall clearer image at higher resolutions, so I might have to try it sometime. It goes for ~$400 (mwave/buycomp).
You can get the cheaper model, the FE950, which doesn't have the USB hub (which I don't even have anyway) and doesn't go at as high as resolution as mine (who would ever go up to 1920x1440 anyway?). It goes for about $360 on mwave.
Then you can get the model that is a tad better than mine, the FP955 which has a .24 dot pitch where as mine has a variable of .25-.27 and it goes for ~$470 (mwave again). I really like the NEC line

I suggest the Viewsonic P95f 19", a high quality .25/.27 aperture grill monitor.
It is perfectly flat and capable of far greater refresh rates than the PF790
It goes all the way up to 1920 x 1440 @75hz. 1280 x 1024 is a rock solid 105hz.
1600 x 1200 @ 92hz. It has EXCELLENT image quality and especially suited for gaming and graphics applications. As a bonus, it has BNC connectors, which allow for greater color depth and textual clarity.
It sells for $400 on ibuyer.net,

I agree w/ Hipnotic_Tranz %110...his moniter is AWESOME!!! only reason I don't have it is that I'm too poor

but in my opinioin, the NEC fp950 is the nicest 19" out there, it can go on resolutons higher than many 21" also...
