Just got my Zip 650 8x4x32 and am burnin without a problem for 100 bucks after rebate, not bad.... although the crappy disk that came with it was a coaster in like 2 seconds, the sony's are doing good. But anyways, which program is best for burning wav's to a cd? Adaptec cd creator do teh job fine? I've got a Excelon 715x and kenwood speakers and want the best quality I can get. The biggest thing I want is cd text! You know the words that go across the screen on the deck while the song is playing, such as the Artist and song title. What program lets you insert that before you burn?

Thanks

Check out MP3 to CD Maker:
http://www.zy2000.com/

It's a very small and simple program that burns only audio. It will also normilize the tracks before the burn so they all have the same volume level. Very nice and simple program. Does not mess with the registry, create any temp files, and fits on a 1.44 floppy!

I dont know if Mp3 cd maker supports cd text or not but...
Nero and Easy Cd Creator 4 both do.
I have cd text on my Alpine car stereo and it is a nice feature.
good luck

WinOnCD 3.8PE does. I just installed this new program and it is more powerful and easier to use than Nero. Amoung many features, it offers built in codecs for vcd's.

Just checked out some support page and says the burner doesn't support cd text?? That's crazy... I thought for sure it did. Anyone else have the zip 650?

Can't post the url here. Find the Jammer Forums on the net, then search on WinOnCD. The link is in one of the threads. It is a 75MB rarred download.

So, can anyone point me to a site that tells you exactly how to burn cd-text w/EZ CDcreater4.02 or anyone know? Getting nero at the moment, BTW.. can I have both installed at the same time? I'm trying to burn mp3s downloaded from net converted to wavs... I want Cd-text! And I think I was wrong by what I said earlier, I'm pretty sure this drive will do it

Thanks

Nevermind, just got Nero Rom and says my burner doesn't support cd-text. Is there firmware you can download to make the drive support cd-text? Or is it jsut that Nero doesn't support my drive for cd-text... like the drive has the capability but Nero doesn't?

Ok, I'm replying to myself yet once again! I just checked out the specs on iomega's homepage and it says it does support cd-text. Which means that I just can't find any programs taht support my drive! ahh! Does anyone know any other programs that do cdtext that might support it?

One more thing I just thought of , maybe your firmware is old?
Check with Iomega to make sure you have the latest firmware to support cd text.
Chances are with buy,com it has been in their warehouse for a while.
just a thought
