Gotta wait until my contract expires at the end of next month. I'm also going to look at the HTC One reviews long and hard. Some people like it better than the S4. Definitely looks nice with the stylish all aluminum chassis.

I've been very happy with the HTC Evo 4G.

Thanks Bob. I still need to add a few apps and learn about all the stuff the phone comes with by default. The lists posted here should come in handy.

i considered the HTC One, but the two main things keeping me from it were:

--no removable battery
--no microSD slot

most of the benchmarks were in-line with all the other new leading phones. if the above are not a big deal for you, it's a great option. cheaper with more storage than the S4 as well.

Fox35 Weather. Just about the best weather app out there. Much better than Weather Channel's bloated app. It always defaults to Orlando as you home but you can change that.
Not seeing how to change locations so far, not a setting via info button on top right corner and google search hasn't found it either. Ideas?

LOL, didn't see that before as it doesn't show up if the phone's being held horizontally.

As for weather apps, I also really like Weatherbug Elite although it's a paid app (like $2) but it does alot on mobile devices.

I refuse to give Weatherbug any money or install any of their apps on general principles. Their Android app may be legit (and given their history I'd be a little concerned), but their PC gadget and toolbar are borderline malware in my opinion.

At the very best Weatherbug is a buggy and badly written piece of adware on the PC. At the worst it just begins to encroach on being malicious.

It crashes IE, and interferes with other apps. I remove it on all my client's PCs. Heck even Malwarebytes will flag it as spyware.

I know many say that in regards to PCs but I've used it for years with out issues.

Guess I should say that I havent used it with PCs for years now either as I've been using one of the Firefox weather add-ons instead as those work fairly well.

Weatherbug Elite for the iPod touch or iPad works very well and I've never had a lick of trouble with it on those devices.

I'm charging mine daily but then I'm often doing something with it too. I just got a slim case for it and a 64gb micro card. Have yet take pics or put any music into it. I don't need it to have music in it but I'll put some stuff in just because I want to see how it uses MP3s compared to my iPod Touch's.

My last non-smart phone would go weeks w/o charging in comparison but then it was just a phone.
