Any reason why i should'nt upgrade to Win ME?
W2K
Check http://ntcompatible.com/ for what games work in W2K, although I can already see that some of the ones you listed are not going to work.

Depends on whether you disable the autobackup and some other features. Smallest I could make it was still something like 300 Mb larger than the same install for Win98 if memory serves me. I was rather shocked.
Part of the reason is that ME, by default, installs the CAB files on the hard drive (part of the self repair feature) but even so, that doesn't explain it all. I ALWAYS copy the cabs over from the CD on a 98 install and it still takes up a lot less room than WinME.
Bloat.... bloat on.....

ji1831: Win2K has problems mostly with some D3D games. OpenGL games tend to work much better.
I've yet to find a first person shooter that doesn't work under Win2K, but sports and race games in particular are iffy. A lot depends on the game publisher and whether he's willing to patch the game to work properly with Win2K.
Those of us who play only first person shooters have no problems with Win2K. About the only game I ever installed that didn't work was Monopoly2 - no great loss.

I'm not happy with the networking on either ME or 2K on 2K my pings suck and on ME I HATE the change from Neighboughood Network to "My Network places". It won't let me access shared volumes on my NT Domain even logged in as Administrator to the domain. Just keeps showing the login directory but shows me logged in as admin on the server. I think on balance I may go back to 2K although I had a complete system fart last time with 2K.
