Do what you want, personally I don't really care, it's your money. But you'll just get killed by RDRAM and it's just not worth the money. It may be faster, but not worth the money and trouble IMO.
Look at the price of RDRAM vs SDRAM. And tell me how much the difference will be when you buy a system with 256MB or 384 or even 512MB RAM. And buying a P4 now is just like buying a PentiumII with the 440FX motherboard. It lacks functions, it lacks speed, and it won't be compatible with future P4. Have fun with your P4 if you are buying it :lol
p3 1.0 ghz or p4 1.3 is it worth the extra 60 buxs more and gts2 or radeon 64meg?????

AJ ... if you are a gamer you will choose GTS for the best perfomance. If you are not a heavy gamer then maybe radeon is your choice. If you are using your pc mainly for surffing the net and you need a good 2d quality and you play games some times...then go for radeon. If mainly for games, GTS is th best !
Personally I just can't accept a "new" technology being beaten by an older technology. Look at the P4-1.5G vs the P3-1G, it's running at 500mhz faster(or 50%) and yet it can lose in some benchmark and barely win in others, what the hack is that??? That's why it sucks.
If you look at the difference between a regular Pentium-233mmx vs a PentiumII 233mmx, the difference is huge! The PentiumII is simply a lot faster and a much better design, in all applications. That's what I call new/better technology. The P4 is just junk IMO, it's new technology, but not better(at the moment).

Some friends of mine are using new P-4's that their graphics firm is buying and they are suffering for it. Big problems in all the Adobe programs and a lot of other apps don't run worth a squat not to mention the problems with hardware configs. I think Intel promised more than they can deliver just to be the big Kahuna, but they're paying for it now. Get a KT7A RAID and a Tbird @ 1.4ghz - cost you a whole lot less and get you want to go a whole lot faster. Unless you're stuck on Intel then maybe get one that OC's to a gig, or better. You'll still be further ahead.
