So all I need is the box? If so, I may have to RMA mine. My MX700 doesn't "always" fit the cradle just right. Sometimes it does, usually it just takes a little finagling to get it seated. And it doesn't seem to hold as much of a charge as it used to, no matter which batteries I throw in it.
BTW, your symptoms describe exactly what was happening with mine before it stopped charging altogether.
