Sticking with W2K....
I figured that Win XP would be a problem for folks that build machines. I went to W2K about 6 months ago on my latest build, and I'm really happy with it. My wife's laptop (HP Ze4145 with Athlon Mobile XP 1800+) came with Win XP, and that's ok - I won't be doing too much to that machine anyway. My other machines are running W98 SE, and over the coming year I think I'll move them to W2K. Besides, Microsoft will come out with another operating system in 2004! I wonder what they'll move around in the name of "improvements" to keep us confused and dependent upon them?

You've got a Voodoo 5????
plucky duck - I was looking forward to getting a Voodoo 5 before 3dFX went down the toilet. At the time, I was running two Voodoo 2's in SLI mode, on an old Packard Bell Pentium Pro 200 MHz machine. That at least allowed me to play Quake III, but talk about a handicap! How do you like that Voodoo 5? Can you get a driver to run it in Win XP, or are you limited to W2K?
