What a day

Post by NascarFool »

Been messing with a P3-600 machine and it has been a hassle. I think I fixed it but not sure. I found a bad capacitor on the mobo between the P3 slot and the atx connector. Damned Abit VA6. Today a coworker brought over his HP 8275 comp for a major upgrade. It was a P2-300 when it got here. It's going home with a T-bird 1.33GHz tomorrow. Didn't take much to convince him to upgrade.

Specs:
Athlon 1.33GHz ( with HSF and 3 year warranty)
Asus A7M266
256megPC2100 Crucial
350w Sparkle PS
40gig WD ATA100

Re-used parts:
Replaced Voodoo3 2000 with a Voodoo5 5500
Sony 8x CDRW
HP OEM 4x DVD
OEM HP floppy drive
HP midtower

It's up and running, here are the before and after pics.\
