Help computer people experts...Errors I get in system window in Windows...

Post by Sean »

Compatibility-mode paging reduces overall system performance.
Drive C is using MS-DOS compatibility mode file system.

How do I fix these? I get them in the performance tab in the system window....

Image attached is a list of some relvent drivers..suggest what I should look into?

FYI: My hard drive is attached to the ATA100/RAID (currently disabled) controller on my motherboard, IDE Slot 3...

How can your harddrive be attached to a disabled controller and still work? The RAID function may not be in use but the controller is enabled. Install the drivers for your ATA100 RAID controller and it should go away. That's what it appears to be the problem from your device manager shot.

YEah you don't have the drivers loaded for you ata100 card... Load them up and all of that stuff will go away and you should notice much more speed after that... Your running the hdd at the default pio mode which is a transfer rate of 16.67mb's vs the 100mbs it should be running at :)

Ouch, that is slow. LOL

Actually, what I meant was, RAID was disabled. I am just running ATA100.

I don't remember any ATA100 drivers being avaliable in the driver disk however.. Is that the mass PCI storage device?

Where can I find drivers for it? It is a Promise ATA100 controller I think, came on my GA-7DXR Gigabyte Mobo...

Worked!!!

Awesome, I think I am actually noticing difference in speeds. Now I should run some games and see if there's a difference. ;)

While I installed this, i guess I re-installed my bridge drivers also..Now my ACPI is working. Before I couldn't go into Stand by, now I can! (the fans stay on, but at least it's working now). And, before, i couldn't trun off my hard drives, NOW I CAN!! YAY!! (I want this Deskstar to last a while.. ;) ) I am going to let the computer sit for 30 minutes to check adn see if my monitor can turn off by itself now! I hope it does. ;)

Thanks for the help, now I don't have anymore queston marks in my driver section..COOL!
