I'd be very suprised if it doesn't come with reference drivers - Dell doesn't customize their drivers, they use whatever the manufacturer gives them. However, who know what version of the drivers they'll give you.

If it's a standard GF2, I'd use the latest OFFICIAL detonator drivers.

Dell clones their harddrives, then install them in pre-built boxes. Chances are that they didn't include the previous latest reference drivers, since their clones are designed and burned long before the machine is even assembled. Check your driver version, tho'.

Just the same, best thing to do with a Dell is to use FDISK when you plug it in...every single Dell (of one particular OptiPlex, anyway) we got at work needed this step because their Sys-Prep screwed something up that caused more-than-regular memory errors when using IE. A fresh build resolved the problem on every machine.

My brother bought a Dell not too long ago and his didn't have any display properties menus (just standard Windowz settings) for his GeForce so he had to installed reference drivers to get them

Thanks Slugbait. Fdisk it is. Can't wait for it to get here. Good-bye Celeron 433, 17" monitor, hello 1.3Ghz P4, 19" Trinitron. :)
