I am trying to overclock duron700 on a k7t pro2a motherboard
did the pencil trick and connected the L1 bridges.
Thought i didn't do it well the first time, so taken it out and did it again with a .5 mechanical pencil,
but still no luck with changing the multiplier.
I got it at 8.5x but hot booting the thing crashed and is set back to default 7x100 again.
Now unable to change the multiplier again
any suggestions?? thx
Help!
try the rear window defogger paint or a conductive pen - search through the threads here on the board for more details - there should be a number of how-to threads from last fall when we were all doing the same thing !

try erase the area clean, and get the light source(table lamp) under you chin or in a similar area so you could see the pencil marks easily in a highly reflective silver color so you don't have to squin to see the black pencil marks. do some scratch on a paper to make you have a fresh tip. Finally use a slow and steady motion go over the L1 bridges 10-20 times, blow away the dust once in a while, you don't need the lead dust, you only need those stuff that's on your pencil mark. Make sure that there is no cross between bridges before plug the cpu in. Just in case, connect all the L7 bridges will give you 1.85v default in case your motherboard don't support voltage tweaking. I did it once and the mod still works after a few months.
Btw, what is the mothboard that you are using? does it support manual multiplier adjustments?

k72 pro2a
I did teh pencil thing 2 times and thought i didnt' do the pencil thing good enough.
Second time did it under magnifying glass, went over the thing like 10 times and didn't cross them at all.
i can boot over 8.5 but at 9x it gives 500 mhz
but the main problem is it doesn't boot up on the reset button whenver i try to overclock the sucker.
I am sure any suggestion will help
thx ahead of time
