At my company all drives undergo level 4 SpinRite before reuse after forensic imaging due to legal holds.

Love how that is out in the open and instead of some tiny little PC with a dock its just a regular desktop with the drive hanging out.

You know what... I wonder if anybody would make a motherboard that just had like 6 separate complete computers on it with a built in KVM for doing stuff like this. Hell I bet even a Pi would be ok to do just this. Cram 10 of them in a box with docks on top and make it like a toaster.
